Travel Insurance for Seniors
I was recently disappointed to discover that I am now classified as a senior traveler. What can one do I guess, but what sort of a milestone is that? At 18 you can drink [legally], at 21 you get a key to the house, and at 71 you get to pay more to buy special travel insurance for seniors. I am sure the actuaries have calculated all the likelihoods and permutations, but it is still annoying when you know you are healthy and it is extremely unlikely you will be making a claim. Would be crazy to travel without cover though, if anything did happen medical expenses alone could leave me broke and I’ve only got a minimal income coming in.
