We live in an old farm house.  It has been in the family for over 100 years.  We did some minor repairs to the house, but it really needs a professional touch.  Our friends highly recommended that we contact an Interior Decorator in Maryland.  They told us that this lady does an exceptional job and that they can almost guarantee that our house will be the best look one on the block.  So, with that being said, we called this lady up.  We are meeting with her tomorrow.  I hope she can redo our entire house like we want.  We can’t wait to get started.

We had planned a gaming night with Mr A and Mrs D at their place, but before the games could begin, we needed to fuel up with dinner! They suggested Malaymas which wasn’t too far away. Hubby and I had been to Malaymas once before and remembered the food to be pretty good.The menu is extensive with an excellent selection of Malaysian noodle and rice dishes, such as nasi lemak and char kuay teow. They also have a selection of coffee, freshly brewed on their breville coffee Maker.  It made choosing dishes very difficult because there were so many things we wanted to try! We ended up ordering too much, but not to worry, you can get a takeaway container for your leftovers.

When I was younger, I often looked forward to the days when we would make crafts to take home from school. I remember there being several paper chains, some macaroni pictures, construction paper turkeys, and even Christmas ornaments. The craft I remember most however, was when we made cardboard picture frames. Each child took the time to assemble his or her picture frame, decorate it, and place their school picture in it. I recall being so proud of my creation and was anxious to show it to my mom and dad. Like every project I brought home, they admired it, asked how it was made, and took it like it was a treasure. This project still hangs on my parents refrigerator 20 years later!

I live in a rather large city where my father is a judge.  Needless to day, he has not been a favorite among many inmates and their families.  Until recently, we have never really had any life threatening problems as a result of his profession. My father decided that it was finally time to further protect our home with window security bars.  He felt that it just was not enough to have an alarm system.  With the bars we know for sure that no one can possibly break into our home by going through our windows.  I have to say that I do sleep better at night.

It can be hard for me to make friends, so I didn’t expect to find one at the bank. I was waiting in line to see a banker, needing to discuss my Santa Clarita mortgage with someone. There were several other people in line, so I had a long wait. While I waited, I started up a pleasant conversation with the woman in line behind me. She was really funny and nice. I liked her. When I was called, she was called right away after me, so we both got done at the same time. On the way out, she asked if I wanted to go get some coffee and finish our conversation. We’ve been friends ever since!

We just moved into a new home in the outskirts of town. It is not the suburbs, but not inner city either. My yard seems to be the shortcut to other places in the area, and my flowers are getting damaged. I have asked neighbors not to cut through my yard to no avail. A friend recommended I have a fence put in as part of a landscape plan. That will close off my yard without all the arguments with trespassers. It will also get rid of all the trash the kids throw on the ground on their way through my yard. When I want to interact with the neighbors I can invite them over for tea and cookies. I need to find someone to help me with fence design.
