Remember that TV commercial where the guy is up all night making calls to get insurance quotes on the phone…? Well, that could have been me, except it’s not my car this time, it’s my house. I’ve called around, I’ve driven around, I’ve done home owner insurance rate comparisons online. How hard can it be to get the insurance you want, the insurance you need, without paying for extras you’ll never use? I mean, it sometimes seems that the packages with no extras cost more somehow. I know there’s no one size fits all when it comes to insurance. But it is worth it to check around and get the rate you want!

I have no idea what is going on with kids these days. I remember roaming the neighborhood and woods for hours every day. Our parents knew all our friends and all their parents and we were pretty much left to our own devices. We found our own fine. We had bikes, of course, but not things like kids scooters or video games. We built a lot of huts and played a lot of imaginative games. I’m lucky to live in an area where I can raise my kids mostly that same way. However, I think that I’m much more aware than my parents are of the dangers, so keep a closer eye on things.

I don’t know how the list for sending out cards got so long! It is going to be very expensive to mail out all those cards, especially since some of them need to go overseas. I think I need to find some inexpensive holiday cards so that I don’t spend too much money, otherwise I am going to have to cut back on who gets cards. I think I will keep track of who sends us a card back and only send to those people next year. That way I can cut back the list a bit and not spend so much on postage.

There are many people producing and selling plastic Tiffany lamps. In my opinion and I’m sure other Tiffany lamp owners and collectors will agree are of inferior quality. This is why when you go to buy a Tiffany lamp, you should make sure that the materials used are of high quality (both base and shade). The glass should be good quality art glass… not plastic. Please do not be fooled by these cheap plastic imitation lamps, as some of the sellers of these lamps are trying to pass them off as good quality Tiffany lamps. Poor quality Tiffany lamps are much cheaper than authentic Tiffany reproduction lamps.
