Acne Treatment - Using Oral Antibiotics for combating the side-effects
There are several oral acne antibiotics that can be used for acne treatment. The most commonly used antibiotics are erythromycin and one of the tetracycline antibiotics. Trimethoprim is also used widely for achieving success in the same task. But, only reducing the acne causing bacteria cannot stop the secretion of oil, which is the first cause of acne.Generally, days or even weeks later, acne reappear after the acne treatment has been done using oral antibiotics. Additionally, there are many side effects of tetracycline antibiotic. These side effects may include yellowing of teeth and also imbalance of gut flora. Hence, oral antibiotics are recommended after tropical products have failed to cure acne.
