Crunch Your Way to Six-Pack Abs

The old-fashioned “sit-up” is a dinosaur these days.  No one in the know does them.  Instead, the crunch is all the rage.

A lot of guys want to look lean and strong.  They really want six-pack abs too, if at all possible.  Well, the crunch is an indispensible tool in the quest for six-pack abs.

But don’t just do straight crunches all the time.  The muscles of your abdomen are actually composed of several different bands of muscles oriented in different directions.

To really flatten your stomach, you want to strengthen all these different abdominal muscles groups.  So in addition to straight crunches, do cross crunches, side crunches, leg lifts, weighted side bends, and scissor crunches.  Most exercise instruction manuals can give you ideas for even more abdominal exercises.

If you want six-pack abs, the key is to mix things up!
