Who Knew That Pigs Would Make Such Great Pets?
When I bought a country home it never occurred to check to see if the owner had kept animals. As it turned out they had not only raised pigs, but the creatures were still there. The neighbor had been caring for my small herd and cheerfully instructed me on how to raise pigs. I was terrified at first but realized pretty quickly that these gentle animals were easy to care for. Soon I named them and we all became friends. Now I often wonder, as I walk around doing my chores, how I ever managed without two or three big, soft noses pushing at my legs, searching for treats.
